Talawas (2002) at <www.talawas.org> is a cultural webzine.

Published from Berlin, Germany, it is the premier forum for Vietnamese intellectuals worldwide. From 2002 until March of 2009, its contents was updated daily. Its founder and editor-in-chief is the tireless, heroic Phạm Thị Hoài, with her husband, Dietmar Erdmann, acting as webmaster. Its editorial board includes Bùi Duy Zy, Cổ Ngư, Hà Vũ Trọng, Hoà An, Hoài Phi, Hương Trà, Mai Chi and Trương Hồng Quang.

In March of 2009, Talawas became a quarterly journal, but with a regularly updated blog written by Pham Thi Hoai, Đỗ Kh., Phan Nhiên Hạo, Hoàng Hưng, Lý Đợi, Linh Dinh and others.

Statement

Talawas is an independent forum designed to encourage the discourse on Vietnamese reality by enriching it with perspectives from outside Vietnam, and transmitting the worldwide cultural heritage into Vietnamese contexts.
