Margaret Mauldon is a translator of French novelists including Constant, Diderot, Flaubert, Huysman, de Maupassant, Montesquieu, Stendhal, and Zola as well as Phạm Văn Ký, whose Frères de sang she translated in collaboration with Lucy Nguyen-Hong-Nhiem, who provided the notes and introduction. Her 1997 dissertation at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, is The Letter novel and its reader: a study of French epistolary fiction.
